Asia Pacific Film Festival
The Bern Asia Pacific Film Festival returns in February 2026 to showcase the rich traditions, customs and lifestyles of one of the most culturally dynamic regions of the world.
Between 9 and 26 February 2026, the embassies of Indonesia, Pacific Islands, Vietnam, Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, India, Pakistan, Japan and Australia, with the support of the City of Bern, will offer free film screenings at the Quinnie Cinema in Bern.
- 9 February – Indonesia: contemplate a future partner arriving in the present to make you a better you in ‘Sore’.
- 11 February – The Pacific: explore resilience of island nations on the climate change frontline in ‘The Forgotten Pacific’.
- 12 February – Vietnam: follow a journey of grief and self-discovery in ‘A Wandering Lady’.
- 16 February – Korea: a ‘Face Reader’ with special powers finds himself drawn into a perilous world of 15th century royal court politics.
- 18 February – The Philippines: ‘Sunshine’ charts the struggles of a promising gymnast.
- 19 February – Thailand: ‘A Useful Ghost’ reunites a family.
- 23 February – India: ‘12th Fail’ is a story of resilience that redefines failure and success.
- 24 February – Pakistan: join an epic journey of power, revenge and honour in ‘Maula Jatt’.
- 25 February – Japan: experience ‘Snapshots’ of Japan’s present and future.
- 26 February – Australia: immerse yourself in the world's oldest living culture with ‘10 Canoes’.
