Two Taiwanese musicians harmonising their search for identity in Europe

We all have our personal history, our personal identity. But what has made us who we are? Where do we come from, and where are we going? These questions are becoming increasingly difficult to answer in a globalized world.

The two Taiwanese women, Irene Chen and Gigi Kuo, living in Bern and Birmingham respectively, tell stories through their music. The question of identity is also reflected in their choice of program. We hear music from Taiwan, China, and Europe, including Switzerland. Especially for this concert series, the Lucerne composer Stephan Hodel has adapted his own work, „A Lenda do Boto,“ for clarinet and piano.
